ACTIVITIES

Food-fit project is divided into five work packages:

1.    Working organisation and presentation of the quality plan.
2.    Analysis and description of qualifications, referring to EQF.
3.    Design of tools for the sectoral development of EQF.
4.    Quality and evaluation of the project.
5.    Dissemination of the outcomes.

Work Package 1
Working organisation and presentation of the quality plan
This first work package deals with the establishment of the working goals for the project, distributing tasks and objectives in the different work packages, together with the elaboration of a quality and valorisation plan for the development of the project.
In order to establish aims, quality criteria, evaluation system and project monitoring, a kick-off meeting is held in Madrid during 28th and 29th of May, 2009.

Work Package 2
Analysis and description of qualifications, referring to EQF
It consists of the analysis in each participating country of the key occupations within the food sector for the high-qualified workers (technicians and specialists), carrying out a description of the qualifications in terms of learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and competences), taking into account different aspects: the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), the national qualifications frameworks (NQF), the formal and non-formal learning, and the competences’ dictionaries most commonly used in the labour market.
All this is developed through the use of a qualitative methodology that includes personal interviews to key informants from the food sector, apart from analysing the most relevant documentary sources related to these topics.
Outcomes from this work package are presented in a transnational meeting during two days (28th and 29th of January, 2010) in Paris.

Work Package 3
Design of tools for the sectoral development of EQF
In this work package, the consortium focuses on the following activities:
-    Creation of a web-page and a set of on-line tools for professional guidance, VET and promotion of the EQF in the food sector.
-    Elaboration of a guide for the implementation of the EQF in the EU food sector, addressed towards relevant sectorial bodies: public administrations, social partners, training centres and companies.
Outcomes from this work package are presented in a transnational meeting during two days (16th and 17th of September, 2010) in Berlin.

Work Package 4
Quality and evaluation of the project
Partners evaluate all the results of the project, in order to determine the possibilities for their implementation and transferability to the Member States’ policies, as well as to the target groups, both direct (public administrations, social partners, training centres and companies), and indirect (technicians and specialists with a high qualification level).
For carrying out these activities of evaluation and proposals for transference, a focus group with experts is held in each project country.

Work Package 5
Dissemination of the outcomes
Outcomes from this work package are presented in a transnational meeting and an international dissemination seminar during two days (24th and 25th of February, 2011) in Dublin.
